Another successful visit

For six years now, british fish&chip-specalists have visited Ålesund to look at the on board-production of firstclass fillets of cod and haddock.

Another successful visit

This year ten regional finalists in The National Fish&Chip Awards went on a fishing trip outside Ålesund on board the modern longliner Frøyanes. In rather heavy seas the line was set and hauled about one and a half hour later. The result:About one metric ton of fish. The chippies could the watch the filleting process on board and the freezing shortly after catch. These yearly trips are a result of a cooperation beeween The Norwegian Seafood Council and the network Norwegian Frozen at Sea, including oceangoing on board-producers and their sales agents. The network is run by Fiskebåt, the fishing vessel owners association.
